Coastal Elopement

The Oregon Coast, with its dramatic landscapes and ever-changing weather, provided the ideal backdrop for our Victorian-inspired elopement. The moody ambiance and the backdrop of crashing waves set the stage for a truly enchanting love story. Also, the dreamy sand dunes and wispy grasses add seamlessly to the overall aesthetic.

Victorian Aesthetics

We carefully selected attire, including vintage inspired gowns, lacy hats, and a beautiful bolo tie. This creates an authentic Victorian feel with a little western twist. The inclusion of antique furniture and florals added historical charm. Balancing the classic and contemporary aspects added a unique dimension to the photos.

Crafting the Ethereal Ambiance

Creating an ethereal atmosphere was a meticulous process. We used a combination of natural and artificial lighting to set the mood. The mist and cloudy morning contributed to the ethereal quality, and our careful use of soft, diffused lighting added a dreamy effect. In addition, the use of flash adds an editorial flare to many of the images.

Overcoming Challenges

Unpredictable coastal weather posed unexpected challenges, but we used these elements to our advantage. Sudden gusts of wind and misty rain offered opportunities for capturing unique and atmospheric shots. Flexibility and adaptability were key to turning challenges into triumphs. We ended up changing the entire time of the shoot from sunset to sunrise in hopes to avoid the Oregon rain.

Attention to detail was paramount for achieving an editorial look. Posing and composition were carefully crafted to create visually stunning, storytelling images that truly stood out.
