If you’re looking for an eclectic engagement shoot in Eugene, Oregon that’s anything but traditional, you’ll love this shoot featuring Allisun and Hannah. We brought a bold, funky vibe to an abandoned lot with a theme that merged organic, bright citrus tones with industrial concrete elements. The juxtaposition between the natural and man-made made for a creative, fun, and utterly unique session that fully captured their playful energy and love for nontraditional style.
We shot in an old, abandoned lot that had an edgy yet quiet charm. A weathered building stood in the background, and we made use of the oversized concrete blocks scattered across the space, using them as a canvas for both posing and floral arrangements. Under a crisp blue sky, the contrast between the raw cement and the vibrant, citrusy hues of the outfits and florals brought everything to life.
Allisun and Hannah embraced a citrus color palette, with bright orange, yellow, and green tones threaded throughout the shoot. These colors popped against the grays of the concrete, the summer blue sky, and the florals—featuring slices of real citrus fruits!—added a fresh, organic touch that softened the harsh lines of the urban setting.
Our goal for this shoot was to mix editorial-style posing with intimate moments. Allisun and Hannah embraced both effortlessly, bringing their funky, expressive personalities to the forefront. Whether laughing in each other’s arms or sharing a quiet, connected moment, they brought a natural energy to each shot. For couples who want something a little more stylized but still authentically “them,” this type of posing strikes the perfect balance.
If you’re a couple who craves creativity and uniqueness, a nontraditional engagement shoot is a fantastic way to express your personality. You’re not bound by the usual rules of engagement photography, and together we can create a vision that truly reflects your relationship. From funky outfits to unexpected locations, I’m here to bring your vision to life, just like we did for Allisun and Hannah.
Whether you’re dreaming of your own eclectic engagement shoot in Eugene, Oregon, or a completely different concept, let’s chat! Your engagement photos should be a reflection of your unique love story, and I’m ready to help capture that in the most fun, memorable way.
